The Second World War broke out. The general call-up deprived the company of a large proportion of its staff and the supply of raw materials became a problem. Brass became in short supply and rubber was nowhere to be found: competitors produced taps in aluminium, valve washers were made from old bicycle tyres. |

Peace was declared! All the neighbouring countries had been ravaged by six years of war. Switzerland had been spared and the whole of its industry had remained intact, modern and ready to start production. Public needs exploded. An incredible appetite for possessions and comfort became apparent, overturning habits and traditions, generating new needs and hitherto unknown requirements. Aesthetics began to impose its ephemeral laws. SIMILOR, with its finger on the pulse, designed the SILUX range with its harmonious lines. KUGLER also broke new ground and launched the first KUGLOSTAT tap, followed by the KUGLOPRESS system. |
